The other night my daughter called from college with news that made me sad to hear. She’s in her senior year, maintains good grades and works hard at a part-time job to help make ends meet. Because of her school schedule she had to cut back on her hours at work and had dropped her cable subscription down to the basic package in order to save money.
Now this may not seem like a big deal to some people, but she lives alone (unless you count a Boston terrier and a poodle as roommates) and in the limited amount of free time she has, the girl loves to watch TV. She gets that from me.
I hated to hear that her primary source of entertainment had been reduced to a handful of channels, particularly considering what she was still having to pay for such a crappy selection. I could have told her I’d pay for her cable, but she prides herself on paying her own way and I knew she wouldn’t accept my offer. So I told her I’d do some checking and see if I could come up with any ideas.
I’d been considering making the change from cable to satellite TV myself, so I figured this would be a good time to find out more and my research would kill two birds with one stone. I’d heard enough good things about Dish Network to make me curious, so I typed Dish Network into my favorite search engine.
Wow! I was in no way prepared for the millions of pages my search returned.
Several hours later, I had at least learned some of the basics I wanted to know about Dish Network. The equipment and installation in up to four rooms is free. When it comes to channel choices, Dish Network outshines their closest competitor by a long shot, offering more movies, more HD programming, more international channels and more pay-per-view movies and events. It became even more enticing when I discovered the substantial difference in pricing; Dish Network offers more programming for less money.
But the confusing part was in trying to decide who can be trusted to actually install the service. With so many sites competing for your business, how do you know which ones are offering the most for your money and which ones are just offering sales hype? I finally found the answer here (click on the link). These guys are on top of every new offering, the most recent promotions and the easiest method of moving up from cable to Dish Network.
I was able to order their premium package for less than what my cable company was charging, and enjoyed the added benefit of more selection and more equipment. If you don’t believe me, do your own research. When you get cross-eyed from obnoxious graphics and confused from conflicting information, do yourself a favor and just go here . (Again, click on the link)
I gave my daughter the same advice. I called and told her I’d found a way for her to enjoy all her favorite programs and movies and still save money. I told her I had already ordered Dish Network for myself and gave her the web address I used . It did my heart good to hear her so excited about having real program choices again.
You can get real choices for yourself. And you can do it the hard way by slogging through an endless number of sites that may or may not be giving you the most for your money, or you can take the same advice I gave my own daughter. Order Dish Network and make it easy on yourself by ordering it here.
You can thank me later.
